Synchronous eLearning

Synchronous eLearning refers to one of the two types of interaction that can take place in an eLearning environment. In this form of learning, instructors and learners do not have to be at the same location — they are online rather then in class —, but they have a direct interaction, in real time. These resources include: virtual classes, chat, instant messaging, audio and video conference.

Note: eLearning can combine asynchronous and synchronous interactions and tools.
