AI

Component Description Link
ecAmi This example showcases our Chatbot created for Concordia students interested in taking an online course.

Students can choose from a list of topics and questions, or enter their own. All AI answers are drawn from a database built by our employees. If the answer is not satisfactory, students can submit a ticket or, during office hours, connect to a live support agent. EC Ami is built using IBM’s Watson Assistant artificial intelligence and the Zendesk customer support solution.
The AI will only answer questions on predefined topics and is trained to understand user intent. What’s more, it can’t give its own answers and can’t be trained by users to say certain things (to keep human control and potential user abuse in check).
